About Los Cabos Airport Layout
Los Cabos International Airport (IATA: SJD) is located along the Transpeninsular Highway, Km 43.5, in San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur. The airport operates two active passenger terminals: Terminal 1, which handles domestic routes and select international connections, and Terminal 2, dedicated exclusively to international arrivals and departures.
Understanding the terminal layout before you travel saves time at baggage claim, immigration, and pick-up zones, especially during peak tourist season when the airport is at its busiest.

Terminal 1 is the original terminal at SJD and primarily serves domestic flights, along with some cross-border routes. It is a compact, easy-to-navigate terminal with a straightforward arrivals flow.
Pick-up note: Terminal 1 has two passenger exits. The first is located near the main entrance, identifiable by its covered awning. The second is a wider exit designed to accommodate large groups and charter arrivals. Both exits connect directly to the vehicle drop-off and pick-up lane, with parking available nearby.
